The Cyber Security team protects the organization’s technology, information, and customers from misuse and attack. It establishes security practices for identifying threats, reducing exposure, and responding when suspicious activity occurs. The team advises on secure design, access control, data protection, and the handling of sensitive information. It monitors for weaknesses and helps teams understand the risks associated with proposed changes. It also supports investigations when an incident may affect systems or data. The team must translate security concerns into practical guidance that delivery teams can apply. Its work includes setting expectations, reviewing important decisions, and improving the organization’s ability to detect and recover from problems. It aims to make secure behavior repeatable rather than dependent on individual expertise. The team works across many parts of the organization because security concerns rarely stop at one system boundary. Its success is measured by reducing avoidable risk while allowing useful work to continue.
